Question Headers and Exhaust

Hey guys, I have a question and I would appreciate some feedback and comments on this issue.
I have a 2003 mustang mach 1. I bought it with Magnaflow catback exhaust and just recently put on a Pypes O/R X-pipe. I eventually want to put on Shorty headers but im not sure what brand of headers to use. Can you guys help me out and let me know which brand of shorty headers would go best with what i have so far? Or what is the best complete exhaust I should consider for my mach 1 to get the most power and sound really sick? thanks.

From what I've been told, shorty headers are about worthless. If you're goin with headers, get Long Tubes. They're definitely more expensive, but the sound is great and not to mention the added power that the shortys would never come close to adding.

Sorry, but shorty headers are a total waste of time and money! However, a set of Bassani mid-lengths are a good alternative to long tubes.

Forget the shorties. Get longtubes. I am getting a quote on an install and dyno time tomorrow. Im getting ARH headers with a catted x pipe, im expecting to pay about $2400...

I think JBA is the only company that makes shorties for the mach, they are $700.

Like everyone said, shorties absolutely suck. The "Mach 1 Exhaust Notes" sticky has some good clips, along with more on youtube and streetfire. Your midpipe/catback set-up is maybe 10-15 peak hp less than if you also had LTs, despite with manufacturers tell you. My recommendation is for you to get an intake or drop-in K&N and get a good dyno tune.
