Updating my 7r50d version. Got to the "power cycle the tool to continue" step but nothing happens after I unplug/plug the tuner. Followed directions to a T...restored factory tune, downloaded USB/DB9 cable driver. Using the 57600 serial baud because the tuner seems to revert back to it when turned off/on. Any help appreciated. God, I h8 computers.

Check the com port baud rate setting. Both ports have to be the same as the U7146 either 57600 or 115200. The U7146 defaults every time at 57600 when powered up.

Brother I checked that and a million other things. I'm at a loss with this darn thing. I'm beginning to think I bought a bad cable or something, certainly hope it's not my tuner. I've tried this on 2 different computers with the same results.
Do you have a computer with a serial port instead of using a db9 cable?
Both of our laptops have atleast 2 usb ports and one 15 prong DB9 port. The cable I'm using now is DB9 tuner to usb computer. The usb COM port used is the same COM the downloader is checking. Frustrating.
Do you know anyone with a desktop computer with XP? More than likely it will have a serial port so all you need is the port enabled in the bios and a cable. This way will tell if is your cable, drivers or Predator. I bought my db9 cable at best buy and use xp pro no problems either way.

I have a fellow Mach friend who's already did the revision on his comp so I'm gonna give his comp a try, should work as it did for his and we'll see if it's my cable or not.

The differences I seen in data logging are more WOT timing. Along with less engine breaking after a short delay when decelerating.
