A Procharger P1SC would be a whole lot simpler, and deliver good power on a stock Mach 1 motor.

Wonder which set-up ends up costing more/less. I know you can slap a procharger on in the driveway, but doing an eaton is a biotch and from what I've seen and requires lots of extra parts, relocation of stuff, etc. The eaton can be found dirt cheap though, as opposed to a procharger kit running into some pretty big money. I just wonder if the extra stuff and labor required for the Eaton will end up costing more than a procharger? Either way, I still like the roots charger on a 4.6 engine, but thats just my preference.

well with a procharger kit your getting everything needed for ~5-6g's

the heatons can be bought failry cheap 250-500$ depending on port job etc.. problem is getting all the parts you may have to go threw a ford dealership and that is big $$$$$$.. i think eaton swaps were ~3,500$ from start to finish

Sounds like you can get off a good bit cheaper with the Eaton, but you're going to pay for it via pain in the ***. I bet a lot of those parts could possibly be found in a junkyard or off a wrecked Cobra.

WOW! I didn't think this thread was gonna turn into a "I should've" kinda thread. Yes, I could've gone with a centrifugal kit, but why pay 2-3k more? For that just go with a 100-125 shot for a couple hundred bucks. I had a centrifugal blower on my previous car(an import), I didn't like the fact that it didn't hit full boost til almost redline and it wasn't real reliable. I could've gone with a 2.1L kenne bell kit, but why spend 5k more? its not like I can push whatever power I want. Like I said before, I'm just looking for around 400-415whp now, I'll be happy with that. Yes it requires a lot of parts (95% of which I already have) but you can't beat the whine. If I build the bottom end in the future and feel like pushing it to around 500whp, with less than 1k, I can have a stage 4 port with a pulley. I'm just saying that everyone has their own likes and dislikes, some people spend thousands just to get to 350whp on a n/a setup, if thats what they like, more power to them.

that would be less power to them! She'll get ya good power, great sound (the best IMO), and be safe on the motor. W/ a stock bottom end you made the perfect move IMO. Get er done and give em hell.

Hey Dark, keep us posted and up to date on your progress. I'm very interested in possibly doing the same set-up myself. Good luck with it, I don't see any disappointment in your future!
