Default Insurance on a mach, compared to a gt?

I currently have a 2003 GT, and am thinking about getting rid of it for an 03 Mach 1 with 25,000 miles for 14,900. Good deal right? I was wondering if my insurance will go up because it's mach 1? Does anyone know?

It will go up a little but it shouldnt go up to much. You should call your insurance provider and talk with them they will be able to give you a quote, but im pretty sure it will go up a mach is worth more than a gt so it will be a little higher.

Im not sure about your area but my insurance didn't recognize the Mach as a model, they only had GT or Cobra, so its a GT, in their eyes, LOL.

Haha, my provider(country wide) reconises my car as a Cobra... I payed 200/month for my 96 GT, then I got this and its 322/month for full coverage. I'm 19 with a good grade discount, multi-policy discount, no tickets or wrecks, just a male driving an orange mustang lol. I knew I should have got the black one... recently I backed into a broken down Toyota MR-S that was in the middle of the parking lot at about 1 mph and my insurance is going up to 372/month next period. 3 years of excellence and this happens, and they want to raise my rates! WTF, eff my life.

I pay less than that with full coverage through Allstate, they are typically on the high end of things.

Wow...you are getting shafted so hard! Note to self: Never use County Wide insurance company...ever.

i was paying a little better than $200 a month for my 03 mach, and 93 5.0 lx. with progressive full coverage, but i had two tickets in the last couple of years. now one of them came off, and i am switching to state farm, because i have my business liability insurance, and homeowners insurance with them. they are more expensive than progressive, but since i have them for my business, and house it's actually a little bit cheaper. i now will pay $340 something altogether for both the mustangs on one policy, and a 2000 f350, 2000 chevy 2500 utility body, and 1990 suburban on another which is all for my business. all that would be over $400 on progressive, BUT progressive is cheap i just get a break with state farm cause my house, and business. it saves me a few hundred a year on homeowners and $150 on liability. one of my tickets came off in may and i'm 39 so i pay a lot less. when i'm married nezt year it will go down more.
