Default Which AXLES and DIFF to go with?

Upping to a 31 spline. What would you guys go? The car is my DD but does see track time about twice a month for the TnT nights and would love to run sticky tires "safely".

Was looking at Strange axles but I am a bit lost with diffs. Maybe an FRPP? Maybe an Auburn or Eaton?

It may seem like I'm alone in this, but....steeper gears take so much stress off the axles and diff. Far less amount of resistance than stock gears. I probably did hundreds of 5k-6k launches with my 4.10s & ET street radials on an always sticky well prepped track. I even dumped in past 6k a few times before I got the clutch work down. Consistent 1.6-1.7 short times and never had an issue. I say spend the $ on more power. Just my opinion ofcourse.

What size tires did you have? I have a spare set of 18" wheels I thought about throwing some DRs on

factory Mach wheels w/ 275s. You won't have a problem hooking with an 18

I am probably going to get 275's to drag in. Too bad they're so farking expensive -____-

A 31 spline would just be a mind-easer type thing I think.

Well I'll ease your mind by telling you they're not needed so the money you were going to spend on the rear can go straight to some good rubber. I got lucky, paid $300 for 4 extra mach wheels w/ near-new 275 mickeys already mounted. Be patient and you might find a good buy on slightly used DRs.
