As in, what makes a good race for a stock Mach one? The answer is a lot of cars.

Look up the 0-60MPH and 1/4 mile times for the Mach 1 as reported in contemporary magazine testing.

Then, find other cars with similar times.

Pretty much ^that, and also consider that any race you get into is a driver's race, no matter the specs. I raced a 07 GT500 at the 1/4 mile and won because I was the less ****ty driver.

I'm talking about bone stock vs bone stock, but these cars have always been fun to mess around with when you come across one. Majority of the owners don't know what a MACH1 is and assume it's just a 2v with little visual mods lol

The 2004 Ford Mustang brochure made the Mach 1 look like a 2V with tape stripes, wheels and a shaker. They didn't exactly highlight the mechanical changes to the car. I almost skipped over the Mach 1 and was heading for the Mustang Cobra until I read a magazine article an reread the brochure.
