Default Larz Anderson Auto Museum?

Has anyone ever been here? Seems like it might be an interesting destination cruise. They have a schedule of Lawn Events. I'm a bit surprised there's no Muscle Car or Mustang day, but then they seem like a bit of a "high-brow" crowd. Groupon has a 50% discount. I might check it out this summer.

For $25 for a year family pass, I gave it a shot. I went by to check it out late this afternoon since the Britain exhibit is ending this week and then they're closed for a new exhibit. There's not really a lot there, but what they did have was some amazing history. They have a bunch of extremely old stuff in the basement. I can't say I was overwhelmed by it, but it wasn't bad.

They have Ford, Lincoln, Mercury day on August 18th. If it doesn't require membership, we should go!

Back in the summer of 1993 they had an unveiling for the new SN95 Mustang. It was a great event with a Ford only car show on the front lawn. Back then you didn't need to be a member to be participate in the car show.

Don't need to be a member to go to the lawn events. There's a registration fee if you're putting your car on the lawn but it's minimal - I think it's $15. I'm hoping to go!!!

Yeah, the lawn events are generally more interesting than the museum proper. They have some really old historic stuff in the collection, but they're limited by the space available (the museum is in what used to be the carriage house on an estate)
