Default MCCNE event June 2nd in Manchester, CT

Since the cruise is being postponed, I was looking for something else to do this Sunday. I stumbled across an event in Manchester, CT being held at Mustangs Unlimited by the Mustang Car Club of New England. I'm pretty sure I'm going to take the ride there. It's a little over 1.5hrs from Burlington. Here's a link to the flyer:

Anyone else interested? Maybe grab breakfast somewhere before the ride?

If you show you must have a fire extinguisher with you. It is a good show now that the cars are judged by judges.

I'm going (I'm one of the judges). I leave Bourne at about 7 then meet some friends in Taunton. We could meet you at the mass pike service area and you could cruise out with us.

If you are entering your car in the show +1 on the fire extiguisher. Also your car is popular vote, this year the 2011s are the newest ones judged.

I won't compete. I know my car's not clean enough or unique enough. There's a show only corral. I'd like to do that. Does that area require a fire extinguisher too?

Thanks for the invite. That might work. What time and which service area?

Around 8:15 at the first service area west of 495, I think that it's Hopkinton.
I'll PM my cell phone number to you, if you decide to go.

You do need an extinguisher even for display cars. I know you can buy one there from the MCCNE trailer for less than 20 bucks. Actually I might have one you could borrow.

Ok, so this may be a dumb question, but will any basic household fire extinguisher be sufficient or is a special one for automotive type fires required? I noticed there are different types for sale online. If it's just a basic household extinguisher then I'll probably just buy one since I don't even have one in my home and should probably have one.

8:15am on Sunday at the first service area west of 495 on I-90 will work. I'll send you my mobile number via PM.

Thanks!

Yeah it's just one of those small everyday fire extinguishers, nothing fancy. I keep mine in the trunk all the time, just in case.

(Reply to your PM being sent)

Cool! I'm glad you are coming, the more the merrier.

I picked up a small automotive extinguisher today, so no need to borrow one. The automotive one was cheaper than a household one. odd.

Another friend of mine is going to meet us at the Westborough service area. She doesn't have a mustang, but is in the market for a classic!

See you there at 8:15am!
