Default Emission help!!!!

I have a '14 gt. The only engine mods I have is an off-road x-pipe, axle back exhaust and a custom tune. I'm about to move to Massachusetts from Florida and and I'm just finding out about emission testing. If I put my stock X pipe on and switch my tune to the factory will I pass?

Hey Stang,

Although I am not too familiar with Florida's emissions laws as I'm answering you from the cold and snowy Pennsylvania, I can say that judging by the fact that going back to stock exhaust/ tune will practically turn your car back to factory form, you should have nothing to worry about. It should pass without an issue!

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

Thank you! There isn't emission testing in Florida so I was a little shocked when I heard you have to test your car every year!

Make sure your tune didn't turn off your computers emissions readiness moniters as well. Mass does a OBD diagnostics test as well...which I failed a few years back

I agree with SyNdicateZ about the monitors. I've had a Bama 93 Octane Performance Tune for the last few years and I've not had any problem with passing. I don't think an off-road x-pipe or axle backs (so long as they're not straight pipes) will cause you to fail so long as the O2 sensors are still there and functioning. An extremely loud car might be a problem - depending upon the mood of the tester that day.
