Thanks guys. I am planning on getting rims, but that won't be until next spring. I'm hoping to get phase 1 under way for the car within a couple weeks... I ran into a couple snags along the way, but I'm hoping it will start coming together again real soon.

Hood pins got here today, and my Cervini's C-Series kit with Type IV hood were ordered today... Wet sanding starts on Saturday in preparation for the full paint job and racing stripes.
October 4th is the PA Mustang cruise, so the car will be debuting in State College, can't wait!

Here are some shots from tonight... I've masked off the panels that aren't getting painted, and started the prep work in my driveway. I couldn't get crazy with teardown since I'll be driving the car to work tomorrow and then 35 minutes to the body shop, where she'll be for a week and a half while I work on it in my free time.
At this point, I've got the acidic sulfur (fallout from a nearby steel mill... long story) neutralized by using red scotch pads with baking soda, and then started wet sanding with 500G 3M wet sandpaper. I was hoping to get more done, but I had to replace the radiator in my bro-in-law's Civic, which ate up some time, but the roof, decklid, quarters and driver's door are all flattened and awaiting final prep after the car is gutted.
On with the pics...

I got to the shop after work today and started tearing into the car... Today's main project was to do as much teardown as possible in a few hours, so I got the front end, trunk, door panels, weatherstripping, seals, interior trim and rear seats removed. The rear window and quarter windows are coming out tomorrow...
Hopefully the new parts will show up tomorrow and I can get the hood fitted and the hood pins installed, then I can paint the underside of the hood and prime the topside.

The new parts all arrived today, except for a few small pieces (fogs, running horse emblem and hood kit) which will ship out tomorrow since they were out of stock at the time of the original order. It wasn't until I started opening up box after box of parts that I realized exactly how much work was in store for me...
As I'm typing this, my first batch of parts (bumpers, side skirts and spoiler) is in the booth baking the primer on, and the second batch (four scoops and two spoiler ends) is awaiting it's turn. Part fitment is pretty much spot on, and the quality of the parts is amazing...
On with the pics!

A few more pics before I left the shop tonight... Worked on it for about 14 hrs today, now I'll get about 4 hours of sleep and get back on it at 5am for another 17 hour stretch. I miss doing this stuff on a daily basis!

Ok Mark- watching the car come to life......when your done with the hood just send it my way and I will give you my GTS3 hood from Trufiber....already baked and 2 hours of sanding done!
I am jealous....wish I had a paint and body shop to get all this done and do some of it myself (not a body guy but can wetsand and detail).
You will love that hood...
