Seems like you're losing some cash with that many purchases in such a short time span. And all of the GT's are premiums or deluxe, so why the switch?

I don't care about the money loss... you can't take it with you. In regards to version, prem vs deluxe. I take what is available in the color I can get.

I would have kept the Silver Premium, but it was just too much Silver, so 2 days later I swapped it for the SGM 13.

I really didn't lose anything on my 2011, I only paid $19,000 for it, put just shy of $3,000 in mods, dealer gave me $18,600+ for it, and I put 16,000 miles on it in four months.

Some back story... my first new car was a 1988 LX 5.0 Notch. When I decided to buy the 12 GT 5.0 it was more out of nostalgia. I did some work to it, but more or less parked it. The 2012 V6 was my Daily Driver, but the 6 speed was not very good compared to the motor and rear axle ratio (2.76) so I ened up trading it for a FORD Corporate fleet 2011.

I modded the 2011, and was going to continue too, but after my last exhaust mod last Friday (11/23/12) i went tearing *** around town and it felt like I broke or damage some valves or something in the motor, it started making a tink tink tink noise. So I took it to the dealer to trade it, explained what happened, their techs looked it over, and said it was ok, nothing to worry about but I traded it anyway.

Let me put it like this, I get bored with cars like kids get bored with toys. With this 2013, I plan on dropping between 3-5k into it, and once the 2015's hit I will stop. I am buying 2 2015's (V6 auto daily driver and 5.0 weekend tear *** car)

I mentioned this in another thread...

My employer reimburses me for every mile I drive to and from work (180 round trip) + I also get $200 per day per diem. $1000 PD + 499.50 Mile = $1,499.50 per week... TAX FREE

My Salary after taxes is $3,000+ per week. I also received a big settlement in 2011. I live off the perdiem money, bank the paychecks and the settlement money I kept $150k out of it and stuffed the rest away, I also receive rolyalties from my films that are out on DVD. Overseas sales etc. I do pretty ok for myself. I even bought my God Child a 99 Mustang V6, fixed it up and ave it to her for graduating in the top 5 of her higschool class.

So I just **** money away on cars and toys.

She is talking GT someday. While I won't buy it for her, I told her when she is ready I will lend what assistance I can.

I don't have kids, so I kinda treat her like my own. She makes me very proud. She is responsible, has some attitude, but carries it professional when she needs too and stops BS in its tracks when it presents itself.

I am trying to get her to join the forum. She has become a Mustang nut, but I helped it along since she was 4. Because in her words... "Uncle Gary has always had the most awesome cars."

I am a proud godpapa
