I haz new winter project. 1970 Buick Skylark Vert
My spousal unit has decided to use my desire to fix up cars for good... not evil. LOL
He bought a new project car today for me to fix up and resell in the spring! Since its not a Mustang, he felt it safe to invest - It's a GM product, so he knows I won't be so attached to it I won't be able to resell it after cleaning it up and tidying up some of the usual 'old car' issues.
After decoding the VIN - It originally had a 442, now appears to have a 350. It came out of the Kansas City plant and is the rare rare production number of 120K+ *LOL*
Seats look rough, and who knows what else may be at issue. Anyway, it seems to have a good body on it and hopefully, it'll be a clean, fun car to work with. I already want to put black stripes on it.

I can imagine! A classic muscle car, wrecked is just... man. Awful.
I've been digging around on different decoder sites since I posted this and it did NOT come with a 442. The first site was wrong. It is a Buick Skylark Custom - it had a 350 4bbl 285hp. Looks like someone was on the way to making a CSX clone from the color and wheels. Regardless, one site claims only 5000 of the of Skylark Custom Convertible cars were ever built. *big eyes* We will be doing more research!

That is a very nice car. One car I always drooled over was the GSX. If that were my car, after buying it I woulda drove it strait home, and ordered the parts to make a GSX clone before even touching it
