Worst problem I have right now is keeping the serpentine belt tight. Though I had it, then e weather warmed up. Now it's squealing again. Tightened it past what I think is tight last night, so we shall see.

Looks funny to me with the Gray wheels on it. Almost like a Matchbox or something.

Maybe the belt is just old? As they get old, they get dry and tend to slip. Sorry if you knew that already.

Yeah, replaced the belt and checked all the pulleys after I bought it. Everything spun freely at the time...

Wanted to check my fuel economy, and tank size. So I ran it down all the way (the last couple miles were a little nerve racking). Looks like I'm one of the lucky '97 owners with a 19 gallon tank, I got 18.2 in it. Economy wasn't so good at 12. On the way home I had a nice tailwind and got up to 90 mph. Gee I wonder why I'm only getting 12 mpg.

I haven't had mine up to 90 yet. I've hit 85 a time or two.

Last time I calculated my MPG's, it was like 15.

I'm going to tear it apart this weekend. Found a machine shop to resurface the head. 1 day turn around. $55.

$120 to Advance auto for gaskets, oil and antifreeze.

Need to find a good source for the timing set and a new exhaust manifold.

Good luck Jeff. Remind me never to let you look under my hood. Even with the leaks I think your engine bay is probably still cleaner than mine.

Ordered a new Exhaust manifold this morning. Stupid ticking has been driving me nuts since I bought the Jeep.

Chris, Mine is really only clean because I've been chasing these oil leaks.

Driving with the wipers on today, all of a sudden they stop. Didn't blow the fuse, so I may have to try and get to the motor.

Edit: let it sit while I ate lunch. When I turned the key on they tried, but stopped again. I nudge them and they will move for a second. Guessing my wiper motor is about shot.
