I came back to suggest that maybe it was the switch on the column but your edit killed that idea.

Time for a wiper motor for you...

All in all, it wasn't too bad getting it off. Took my time and had help from my buddy. Thankfully because I was not feeling very motivated this morning.

I could easily identify where the gasket had lost it's seal between it and the head along the areas where it was leaking.

Hopefully i get the head back Tuesday sometime.

Debating on whether to tackle the timing chain and front main seal while the head is off or after I get it back on.

I did manage to break the stupid PCV elbow on the valve cover so I'll have to find a new one this week.

Critical tools that I struggled with so far, 1/2" DEEP 12 point socket, preferably 1/2 drive to get the head studs off.

Dang it Jeff, it's catching. I come out of the shop yesterday and see a few drops under my Jeep. It's coming off the tranny/transfer case skid plate. So I will have to figure out exactly where.

That could be the rear seal on the transfer case.

The head is cleaned, resurfaced and ready to be picked up so I'll get that today on lunch.

I put the radiator, fan and shroud back on last night.

You've got to be on the right track. Soon as you get her buttoned up, head my way and I'll let you drop my T case.

Buttoned it up today but I'm going to let the RTV that I used on the corners of the oil pan gasket cure overnight.

Uh oh, is that where it's leaking from Chris? Sounds like a good time for an Advance adapters slip yoke eliminator and a Tom woods rear driveshaft.
