'06 GT dyno results minor mods, good power + video!
whats up guys!
yea, if you havent noticed I drive a 5.0!
This is about a friend of mine's car. I dont know much about SN197's but if i could afford the $500+ a mth he pay's i might own one
He's only had the car a for 6mth's, dunno why he decided these mod's but we where both kinda surprized at the good number's.
Dyno results: (for thouse that dont wanna watch the video)
289 RWHP 307 RWTRQ
Mod's:
Steeda CAI, O/R X pipe, Mac Flowpaths, 91 oct. Brenspeed tune

Track time's:
fastest so far on really horrible street tire's is a 14.46 @ 97.98mph
****Track elevation is 5880ft above sea level****
Just thought i would share the info!
His future mod's is some sticky tire's, and a 75 shot of nitrous, zex wet kit.
He want's more power, but doeset really know what else to do, ive tryed to give tip's, but im a 5.0 guy, if you have any advice, that would be great.

well, if nobody else wants to add anything... lol
1- i would say do the drag radials first. (the sticky tires you mentioned)
2- the 75 shot you talked about will also help, but do that after the tires.
3- gears (a lot of guys do 4:10's) make a considerable difference. again, after tires.
just a few sugestions.

thats what he had decided on so far.
the 75 shot, and tire's to see where it's at, and if it bog's or not, if it doe's he want's t o do gear's.
i think it will be pretty quick just with thouse mod's

i agree. i recently read an article in MM&FF magazines seperate s197 magazine they put out and they took 2 new stangs and put basic low cost bolt-on's on them and turned 12.6 1/4 mile runs in the manual trans stang.

well we are at 5400ft elevation, and our track we race at is 5900ft elevation.
so with the 75shot we are hoping he will be in the low 13's high 12's.
elevation is no fun for drag racing!
