Just painted my wheels...
I painted my stock GT 'starfish' wheels. I hated them but couldn't justify a thousand dollar purchase to replace something like wheels when I'd sooner get lowering springs and long tubes to catted x.
After I did the first one I wasn't sure if I liked it, and it took me almost 2 hours between scuffing, cleaning and painting. I wished I could take it back and go back to silver but I had already committed. I'm happy with the end result.
If you hate it and think it looks like boiled *** please tell me, maybe you'll be the push I need to buy Saleen style or Cobra R's.
This is how it looks now... after 8+ hrs of work. Car is dirty, please excuse her.
A close up-of my work:
This is how it looked before...
I truly hated it, especially after the headlights went to dark.

Personally, I think it looks damn good with your body color and headlights. Normally I'd prefer the polished lip, but in this case I think the full paint works much better. Seriously, if I thought it looked like @$$, boiled or otherwise, I'd say so. I usually don't go for the SN95s, but I think you've got a great looking ride there. Much better than the before pic. Big improvement. Much more aggressive looking now.

Holy cow I did not expect that kind of response. Thank you!
Edit: for anyone who cares, I used duplicolor wheel paint (dark grey and clear) and generic black touch up paint with the little brush for the ponies.
