Slapped this hood scoop on my 2000 since it just did not look right without one. Since I couldn't find laser red in an aerosol can I went with gloss black, wet sanded and got it looking decent before putting it on. I guess it works cause the car's loaded with black stuff already. Let me know whatcha think.

the black stripe makes it work. Kinda looks like a mach 1 scoop. Tip of the hat to you for painting it yourself instead of taking it somewhere.

i have a yellow 99 and had the same problem, i used a black scoop with a mach 1 lip and tint it really looks better than it would with yellow, same goes with yours, looks great
And yeah painting is a pain in the ass but it's cool to be able to say you did stuff yourself. Also be careful with clearcoat, it can ruin your day!
