Default New pix of the Cherry Bomb w/a few add ons

These are from my 'turd polishing' session Friday evening - getting it ready for a car show we attended yesterday. Just wanted to show the strut tower 'scars' and the STB now that's its on, and the caliper covers now that they've been adjusted and clearance issues resolved.

And last but not least - me w/a stupid look on my face - that's what I get for letting my best friend run the camera - we amused ourselves by deliberately trying to take pix of each other looking like doofuses yesterday. LOL

Ouch!! Those are some pretty nasty scars....

Otherwise car looks good. What number of tint do you have? is that 35 or 50? I'm seriously considering tint for mine but don't know what level to go with. Do you drive yours at night (if so what are you thoughts)?

Torch Red FTW

Thanks! And I don't honestly know on the tint - the former owner and destroyer of cars had it put on there. Just guessing, I'm going with the 35. As for driving at night, I don't have any problems with it at all. I actually like my tint darker, but it gets ridiculous at night when you need to back out of a parking place.

And yeah, she's gonna have some nasty scars the rest of her life I guess - you can see where the paint got knocked off under the hood and where it was bent in at an unnatural vertical angle. Its just stupefying the amount of damage the former owner did to it... and after owning it only a few months. Unbelievable.

Unfortunately that's the risk of buying a used car...not knowing how the previous owner took care of it (or didn't take care of it)

But at least it's in good hands now.

Ohhh, we knew what it was when we bought it. Well. HE thought he did. My husband. It was worse than he knew, but it did come from a salvage auction, so it had a salvaged title from the get go. My husband thought he could flip it and resell it. I did the noble thing and sold my four door DD when he realized he'd be doing good to break even. <sarcastic font> Killed me to do it. Really.</sarcastic font>

Anyway. Thank you. Turd polishing is a family trait - my dad and I refuse to be defeated by anything damaged and mechanical. We take it as a personal challenge. *G*

Default And today's fun - silicone hoses

Put on four of the six this afternoon. The lower two will have to wait until we put the u/d pulleys on.

Note: I HATE TENSION CLAMPS. But not nearly as badly as my husband does. It took three flat head screwdrivers and two different sizes of channel locks and one big kitchen knife to get the old hoses off.
