Those are beautiful shots. Its nice to see photographs that are done correctly; framed perfectly and without any distracting backgroud clutter.

Other than the wheels, your Mustang looked just like mine back in 2005. Welcome to the club.

Nice shots and nice stang!

What camera/lens combo did you use? From the quality of those shots, looks like some expensive equipment.

Its a Nikon D80 body with an 18-55 non VR lens. I have other lenses as well that I did not use. The pictures were shot in full manual mode, ISO 100 without a tripod. I need to upgrade equipment since I feel I've outgrown this camera.

Well I was right about it being expensive equipment. Even with just the 18-55 lens the clarity on those pictures are incredible. Goes to show you the quality of the Nikon.

I've got a 14mp point/shoot type that I'm not overly impressed with. I figured the high mp would translate to crisper high res pictures but I'm not impressed. I'm looking to "upgrade" to a D40 but I still see them selling used for almost new prices - crazy!!

The D40 is a great camera but to give you some honest advice you'll out grow it too quickly for it to be a worth whle investment. My recomendation would be to pick up a D5000 kit. Its nearly identical to what the D80 is with a lot of the important components out of the D90. The price tag though near $1000 is not bad for how much use you'll get out if.
