Thanks for comments everyone. I've been getting her washed often at least...

Here's one I took today, playing around. 4 second exposure, camera on tripod wedged behind passenger seat... also made a cool vid earlier like that but it's f'n huge soo..

Planning on buying a DSLR soon, I want the Canon T2i.. mmm...

No prob man but its not the gear that makes the photographer.

I like your lightpainting photos in your other thread, always liked light paintings.

The 40D is an awesome camera and the price has come way down to about $500-700 depending on condition.

The 40D was my second body (XTi was my first) and it was a HUGE step from the XTi. Nevermind the fact that they are both 10.1mp, the 40D was just a nicer image not to mention all the freedom that a semi-pro body has.

Moving to the 1DIII was even better and was about 2-3 stops better again even though it is still a 10.1mp but a 1.3x crop instead of a 1.6x.

With the 40D I would sometimes shoot iso800 but prefered 400.
On the 1DIII my ISO3200 is like the XTi's iso 800 and with FlexNR its near as good as iso400.

I highly suggest at least a 50D though for the added upgrades and lens AF adjustment; I had a bad back focusing problem with my 40D at times.

When I bought my 1DIII they were still going for about $3500 used ($4k new 3mo ago, $5.5k released) but now that the 1DIV has come out the 1DIII has dropped to $1500-2500 depending on condition and actuations.

When I bought my 40D I paid $1150 (July Canon Rebate Sale) but they were $1450-1550 otherwise so you can see how things go way down in price.

Buying a used camera is a good way to save some money as long as you check it out first and make sure it doesnt show any signs of moisture or dropping accidents.

Come over to POTN sometime, I am NeoTokyo over there too.
Its a Canon only site, (But we welcome others too) we also have a section for P&S users too.

If you go to buy a new camera I highly suggest that you buy one from Sams Club.

Sams club offers a lifetime customer satisfaction guarantee with most purchases and that includes cameras.

That means you can return your camera any time you want, even in 10 years as long as you have all your paperwork you can return it if you are not happy with it.

I did it with my XTi and 40D and both were out of the Canon warenty range.

Good way to keep yourself insured in case you drop it or it just stops working.

Hope I could help a little
