Looks like I originally posted in the wrong forum. So, second time's the charm

My first new car was a '87 Mustang 5.0 LX. Drove it 30K miles in the first year I owned it, kept it until '92 and loved every minute. The 5.0 is long gone, but I've kept a soft spot for Mustangs over the years. And now, 21 years later, I'm finally in a Mustang again. My, how things have changed!

I ordered this CJ in June '12, and Reliable dropped it off Friday morning. Good lord- it is a beast! In person it's low, menacing, and purposeful; the motor starting shakes the entire building, and the cockpit is all business. It also photographs well. Ford's done a masterful job with this car.

I was just going to say is the only thing I don't like about the cobra jet is that it's not street legal. Congrats! You got the ultimate mustang of all mustangs. Maybe you can make it street legal somehow.

Heh. In person you're not going to mistake it for street-legal anything. It shoots flames out of the (underbody) exhaust on startup, the roll cage and wheelie bar are prominent, and the idle alone shakes the warehouse. I don't think it would make it a block before a friendly patrol officer posed some difficult-to-answer questions.

Would be pretty awesome, though...
