    1966 Ford Mustang Coupe

    Last updated: 04-01-2009, 10:17 AM
    DESCRIPTION:
I have owned this Mustang for almost four years now. When I first purchased it I had saved it from going to the junkyard. This Mustang had some severe rust including in the floors and frame rails. I spent a little over two years fixing it up. The Mustang originally had a straight six engine. I swapped in a 302 with an FMX transmission. The rear axle was swapped out for a five lug and the front end had the spindles replaced with those from an original V8 car. I reupholstered the interior and installed new carpet. This Mustang rides on chrome cragar reveresed dish wheels and was painted a bright white with metallic midnight blue racing stripes. This was the first vehicle I had restored myself. I am currently working on a 1965 Mustang fastback and a 1970 Bronco.

    MODIFICATIONS:
Swapped a 302 in place of the original straight six engine
    FMX tranny
    8 inch 5 lug rearend
    Edelbrock carburetor
    Edelbrock intake
    Chrome valve covers
Chrome Cragar deep dish reversed wheels
