Mike's 68 Coupe
I first bought this car in February 09, and will be making improvements along the way. After pulling the engine and running all the codes, we've confirmed that it's a numbers matching car (date code correct) with the original interior (red) with the outside color as Wimbledon White. 65AM2D21B41218F01C160763.

Candy apple red rally stripes were added along the way. Here's what we've done so far:

• Installed and repaired weatherstripping on trunk
• Installed deck lid bumpers
• Rebuilt existing 3 speed manual transmission
• Replaced all (4) window rollers
• Installed USA2 200w Stereo (am/fm/mp3)
• Installed correct antenna with round base
• Fabricated and installed kickpanel with speaker pod
• Installed new speakers (6" round in front and 5" x 7" in rear)
• Installed new package tray
• Installed Ignitor II Electronic ignition (removing points from car)
• Installed Flame Thrower Chrome oil filled coil
• Installed chrome coil cover
• Fabricated and installed aluminum brace to move coil to correct placement in engine bay
• Repaired/replaced all wiring connections to coil
• Installed coil over Monroe Sensitrac shock absorbers in rear
• Installed new exhaust (from exhaust manifold back) 2-1/2" dual pipes with Flowmaster Series 40 mufflers with dual chrome tips
• Repaired driver's side window
• Installed new door lock retainers
• Installed r-134a air conditioning with Sanden style compressor from Nostalgic Air (all parts from firewall forward)
• Purchased Edelbrock aluminum heads, with new studs, guide plates and chrome valve covers
• Installed full roller rockers (Harland Sharp)
• Installed new hardened pushrods
• Installed 3 row aluminum radiator (24")
• Repaired and rebuilt carburetor
• Installed new thermostat
• Installed Chrome wire separators
• Installed new vacuum advance
• Re-jetted primary and secondary jets on carburetor
• Installed new chrome export brace
• Installed new chrome shock tower braces
• Installed new hood/cowl seal
• Installed/replaced new seat hole plugs
• Repaired fuel level guage
• Installed new fuel sending unit
• Repaired oil pressure guage
• Installed new chrome outer door handles
• Installed new chrome inner door handles
• Installed front door window seals
• Installed new inner door panels
• Replaced all door clips
• Installed humphugger console
• Minor repaint and extend GT stripes to front and rear valence
• Installed new door/quarter window seals
• Installed new quarter window body seals
• Installed trunk underlayment
• Installed new carpeting in trunk
• Installed new window side molding
• Installed RH/LH window regulators
• Installed new window/door seals
• Installed quarter window vertical seals
• Installed beltline window seals
• Installed roofline window seals
• Installed new headliner
• Installed lower dash panel pad
• replaced clutch with Valeo spline clutch
• Replaced front shock absorbers
• Installed Hedman mid length headers




The next big job will be replacing battery tray setup, and fixing non-working gauges.
