A wonderful, though all too short, section of Pacific Coast HWY 1 dubbed the "Fort Ross twisty's"

If I ruled the earth, I would mandate this stretch of road be duplicated to run the entire coast of California. A parallel, but completely straight, side-road would be constructed and all unauthorized traffic required to use it. Any unauthorized persons using the "California Twisties" would receive a citation and is, of course, punishable by death.

is that before big sur going south?

i recently drove from big sur all the way back home to the palisades last august coming back from the russo and steele auctions. it was most definitely the best drive i've ever taken. granted it wasn't in the best car for it (1997 benz s600...that thing is a BOAT!!) i can't wait to take my stang on that soon.

I have been on the section in which you speak. It was ruined, however, due to several slow trucks and sightseers. This section of road is well North of Big Sur and about 1/2 mile South of Fort Ross in Sonoma County. Wonderful drive up HWY 1 from Mill Valley to Fort Bragg and this is the best part

love this picture jazz...reminds me of a stretch of road, also entirely too short, driving from Baumholder, Germany (where i am stationed) to Kusel, Germany. it was a fun run for lunch time on a stressful day. love your car to, way to go!

Thanks As a matter of fact, the galpal and I JUST took this stretch twice over this weekend. The entire coast from Marin up to Fort Bragg is wonderful, but this is without a doubt, the best part
