07 GT Hood_-->> GT 500 hood swap
has anyone upgraded their hood on a 07 gt to a GT 500 hood.. I really like the style but i read somewhere you have to change out to the grill to match the GT 500 . as the GT 500 hood will not close on the stock front end????

The GT500 hood and bumper is very different. It will leave a gap across the grill because the GT500 hood has a rounded center to fit the more rounded grill of the GT500 and the tilted uprights next to the headlights. The stock GT/V6 hood is straight across the grill and the uprights next to the headlights (on either side of the grill) stand up straight.
Here's a comparison:
Stock hood and grill (a V6 but the same as on the GT - hood is exactly the same)
Here is a GT500 - look at the area above the grill and you can see how it is rounded up and not straight across, and the uprights are tilted in because of the rounded grill area
