2009 is the 45th Anniversary of the Mustang and what better way to celebrate with fellow enthusiasts than by joining a local Mustang club.
Mustang Owners Club of Southeastern Michigan (MOCSEM)
MOCSEM celebrated its 33rd anniversary in 2008 by hosting a very successful 20th Anniversary Mustang Memories Car Show, which included 436 registered show cars and 2200 paid spectators. Show proceeds allowed us to contribute over $8000 to various Southeast Michigan Charities. We are also proud of our newly updated website, and the revamped newsletter, The Accelerator.
Club membership grew rapidly (325 members) and we had great participation in many fun events in 2008 such as cruise nights, caravanning to car shows, attending sponsor open houses, holiday parties, and more. We plan to continue the same fun activities and even add some new events in 2009. Due to the overwhelming success of the 2008 show, the 2009 Mustang Memories Car Show and Swap Meet will be held at the spacious Rock Financial Showplace, which promises to be out biggest show yet.
Be sure to check out the MOCSEM website (www.mocsem.com) to see what’s next on the club calendar and read the monthly Accelerator newsletter for information about recent and upcoming events. The website includes links to sponsor websites and helpful tips, pictures from past club events, and an extensive Members Gallery with car pictures, stories, and biographies.
Whenever possible, please make a point to attend the monthly general meetings to see guest presentations and meet other club members. Monthly meetings are the second Tuesday of each month at 7:30pm. Meetings are located in the banquet room at Montana's Steak & Seafood, 34290 Ford Road Westland, MI 48185.
MOCSEM strives to offer something for all generations of Mustang fans. Whether it’s the group activities at car shows and Ford events, discounts at sponsor businesses, club social activities for adults and the whole family, or the individual expertise within the club to help with restoration questions, modification ideas, or finding parts; we believe there is a lot of value in being a part of MOCSEM.
