I only made it out twice. Tried many more time but weather always stopped me. Had a couple of false alarms but I didn't want to chance a 130 mile roundtrip for nothing. I made it out there the time you set it up... but you didn't.

We should meet for lunch some time. I'll buy you a beer.

I just drove by your work. Out for a little drive. I wanted to open her up some but way too much traffic. I tried flooring it from a dig but I have summer tires and they spin for ever when its cooler. Fishtailed all over.

Can't meet up this week. How about next week? Your still driving the Mustang, right? You said you needed a beater.

Yeah, let's shoot for next week.

Yep - I still have the Mustang. I can turn it in next month but I really don't want to but I don't know if I have a the 2 grand to spend on a beater. I talked to the dealership about leasing a 4x4 F150 but they are not offering lease's on them now. So I really don't know what I am going to do. I really like the new Ford Fusion but I still want a "performance" car.

I know what you mean about the tires - my car is all over the place when the temperature gets below 40.

John tried to go to Lapeer yesterday and found out:

"closed for the season" -- they had a fire, the equipment was burned so they closed up. I checked their website and not much information - although in the racer forum for the site there was some discussion about the plans for next year, including new timing equipment obviously, but said that the fire and repairs will delay the repaving that they had planned for the downtime before next season. I wonder if we will see score boards go up?

Wow, that sucks....but they actually had plans to re-pave the track eh???

Some scoreboards would be nice. I wonder when they will release more information on what happened exactly.
