Default Scrmings Annual Children of the Corn at Lapeer Dragway!

It's that time again! The 7th Scrming's Annual Children of the Corn Event at Lapeer Dragway!

This years' date will be Saturday, November 3rd with a rain date of Sunday November 4th.

Last year we had a good turn out from the Detroit 5th Gen Camaro Club, for some fun rivalry!

No big prizes or anything, just a good time with friends at the track.

One more week. With the storm out east we could see some nice cool temperatures - let's hope the wind isn't strong out of the west. If we get cool temps and no headwind could see many personal bests.

Picked it up in June - my wife finally convinced me it was time to start a new project. This is another V6 - the week before I ordered it I was at the track and still hadn't decided. Two guys with 5.0's were there and after the first pass one came up and said "I thought you'd be quicker than mid 12's, I can hear the blower". The hood finished opening and he said "oh crap, there's only 6 spark plug wires!, now I'm impressed." Then he called to the other guy and said "we're getting our a$$ handed to us by a 6"
Decided then to go with the 6 again, and turbo this one.

Ah, yep, a 12 sec sixer can drop a few jaws lol. I still have my blue grand prix that I had the last time I saw you. I refuse to do any car payments and am looking for a new edge at the moment that I can pay cash for. There is a nice black 02 with about 50k miles on it and the guy wants 8500 for it that I have my eye on. Either that or a Lightning is in my sites for next year.

I didn't even go to a track this year. A 15 sec grand prix just doesn't get my blood pumping...lol.

You'll have to come out for SACOTC next year, always the first Saturday in November! (and I remember that screaming Pontiac, 15 seconds is optimistic thinking from what I recall!)
