Default Looking for a Engine

Ok i tried everywhere I can think of except here to find a engine. I planning to do a GT engine swap on my car plus trans and rearend. I know it will be expnsive and not worth it money wise so do give me any of the crap about that.

So now thats out of the way, does anyone know where I can find a pretty much ready to drop in GT engine to fit a 05. Also any other parts I will need I know there is a sheet a mile long but I gotta get started on this thing while I have to cash.

You will be doing the exact same swap as me, prices get expensive depending on what your plans are. If you have any questions just ask, I found my engine off Ebay, haven't had a single problem with the motor, only issues with it have been with the tuning.

That is my main concern is getting the wiring right. Did you switch to the GT Gauge pod or did you keep the 6er guages.

The wiring is straight forward you will need a pcm and harness out of an '05. My motor is a prehead change '08, but everything still connects the same.

This guy is a great guy and you can trust him. He is selling a complete setup, just like you're looking for.

That would cover everything needed except for the driveshaft and axle, some of the items you wouldn't need either.

I have to ask, but why not sell it and buy a gt. It would cause a lot less headaches

I second this idea of trading up. Cmon man, you talk about money while you still have it...but you're going the more expensive route.

But do what you do and good luck with it all

Well its cheaper for me right now. I dying to get a GT but I figure around 5K for I can have the same basic car.

If I were to trade my car for a GT its gonna cost me atleast 10k, I would really love to have 5.0 but that way outta what I wanna pay. I sure I could afford it I believe, but I just started a new job, getting married, and moving in a couple of months. I would like to keep as much debt outta there as possible.

yeah I am in the same boat as you. I bought my V6 because that's what I could have afforded at the time but now I make double as much as I did then. I still owe more money than the car is worth on my loan, and with the amount I would lose trading in my car I would be able to swap in a GT drive train and finish the things I want to do ( I would lose more than 5K) on top of starting payments all over again. Im thinking about buying a short block 4.6 and slowly build it when I have the money. Just so happens one just popped up too! Good luck with your build man!
