I recently acquired a wrecked 1 owner 89 GT Auto, convertible with 60k original miles. I have found a reasonable priced 86 coupe 4banger with low miles that I am considering purchasing. I found quite a bit of info on swaps to 87 or newer but not a whole lot on the pre 87's. What is different? I'm Off work til next Monday and would very much like to get the ball rolling on this. No plans to add hp. I would like to keep my fuel injection. Where can i find a good write up on this other than the not so helpful "Motor Swap Section"?

old ones are speed density where newer switched to MAF, considering u have a hole donor car its a direct swap over.
