Default spun a barring, want to get back on the road

Ok so I spun a barring in my 2v Windsor. At first I said cool the gives me a chance to go all forged internals. But a pregnant gf means I don't have the money to do it. I can get a mark VIII for like $300, and continental for the same price. The plan now is to put the continental heads on the mark VIII block. And dropping it in my 99 gt convertible. I have read close to ten Wright UPS on the makviii swap, but was just wondering what intake to use. And if the headers would work ok.
or is it just better to drop a low mi 2v
if any one has any tips or warnings I'd love to hear them. Thank you in advance.

I'd say if you're on a limited budget you should stick with the 2V until the 4V swap is more financially viable unless of course the car is not needed for regular use in which case you can take your time and accumulate parts.

well 1st question why did bearing fail?? did it damage crank? Rod or main bearing? If no major damage. send crank out get polished,Inspect rods and pistons. get new bearings. Would rec. new Oil pump also while you in there. Do a freshen up if you can afford. (rings, bearings, Hone cylinders, check out heads, etc) maybe cheaper then doing the swap at this time.

That was my original idea. I can do all the work myself, except the machine work. I'd much rather rebuild the bottom end, so I know what I'm dealing with, but just to hone the cylinders would cost $500. I can get the internals oil pump, and gaskets for around, $800.
all this would be fine but I still don't know if the heads are ok, I'm also a bit paranoid about tiny pieces of metal floating around and breaking stuff
