Default Most durable of the modular for a performance build?

Ok, I'm just trying to get as much feedback on this from personal experiences from others and knowledge! So I have a base S197 mustang and should have the money for getting the engine build buy next winter. I personally am great with Ford Small Block Windsor Engines, not modular ones I have the option to either go with a Roush Supercharged 5.0L RSC Coyote Crate Engine. Not sure how the blocks design hold up for TQ and milage life through the different models. This is also saying I have the ability to use the 4.6L, 5.0L, 5.4L, or 5.8L it's defiantly gonna be supercharged, so can some one give me some guidance for weather or not you would go with a crate engine or a custom build as in if you spent the same amount of $$$ for the build you would have way more power from a custom build vs. just buying a crate engine? And what you would go with This is with having a window of $23,000 approximately to work with possibly more, so what would you do?

Thanks, Brenden!

I left a few things out! This is gonna be a street strip car but I still wanna put some good times out with it in the 1/4 mile! I also was leaning towards Stage 3 Cams but I'm not sure how well they interact with the Supercharger? If I had the engine built I also was thinking a Kenne Bell Supercharger because of the option to have case injection for an option for Nitrous or another gas, liquid cooling, and puts out good numbers!

So far JPC racing's 5.0 block with rotating assembly looks like the best base for a custom build?
