Hello I have a complete 1989 mustang 5.0 with t5 trans I'm looking to swap into my 1999 v6 auto. I've read up on this a bit and ran into a problem with the transmission cross member. I've read it should should be direct swap on the cross member but looking at the transmission and cross member it doesn't seem to be the case. My question is what cross member would I need to put the t5 into the 99? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
The fox body T5 has a shorter input shaft and bellhousing. It will bolt up but the shifter will be under the radio. you will need to find an input shaft from a 94-04 V6 and a bellhousing out of a 94-95 GT.
