Default newbie with 2002 blownup v6

New to the game what motors and what will be needed to change motors in my 2002 mustang v6 Like to keep trans just replace motor with a v8 (4.6 or 5.0) What do I need to do this Thanks for all the help

I googled this phrase - "2002 mustang v6 to 4.6" - and it came back with 597,000 results. I think that's the best place to start. You have to read a lot, and if there are any specific questions you have, it has probably already been answered.

BTW, LMR put a Coyote into a new edge, so they've actually helped to blaze the trail for you in that regard.

In the end, you're putting a heavier, more powerful engine into the car. You'll probably have to replace the rear end, and upgrade the suspension as a result of the V8 engine swap.

Thanks for the information I was lucky and found a 2001 with agood running 6 but body shot for 200 so now salvage other parts anything I can and scrape the rest Thanks again
