Default 302 engine to offroad.

Hey guys,
I have a 77 mustang II fastback that i love. It was a great car with a nutty 302 under the hood. Problem is body parts and upkeep for this year is to much. I have put alot into the engine and was hoping to swap it into a fun offroad vehicle or buggy. Does anyone know what type of vehicle a 302 would bolt into and make for an easy swap, or any ideas about this topic.

Thanks
Marc

they make conversion kits for ranger pickups, bronco II's, and even toyota pickups.

if you decide to cannibalize your II make sure you save all the V8 specific parts so you can put em up for sale on ebay, or the forums. oil pan, oil pickup tube, motor mounts, ex. manifolds, bellhousing, flywheel, torque converter, radiator, and probably some other things im forgetting are all mustang II specific and are getting hard to find.

Yeah, I had a Bronco II with a 302 in it up until last fall, and it was pretty cool. Now, as for the Miata idea, people think i am loony for my 302 Pinto? hahahaha
