Default gas prices hitting hard....or is it?

i know gas prices are hitting hard.... because my gas gauge keeps reading empty... but its not that!!! i recently had my tank redone and now my gas gauge isnt reading... the float might be stuck inside the tank but could there be anything else? i checked all my connections at the gauge and at the tank an d everything seems fine... is there a fuse for this or is it for the whole inst. panel ( everything else on the panel works...)

Default RE: gas prices hitting hard....or is it?

did you use a multimeter to check resistance/ground/hot? if you have a good ground and juice at the plug connections the switch inside the tank may of had a wire come loose....or the float could be filled with gas or as you said stuck. If all of the "power" tests are fine then you're gonna need to pull the fuel pick up out the tank to check things out. You say you just had your tank worked on, did you have it cleaned and sealed? And if you did, was the fuel pick up removed from the tank prior to coating it? Thinking out loud here.....good luck.
