Thanks for the comments, Lori does a lot of work herself and is very car savvy. It is great I think because she asks all the right questions and also does a lot of research. She knows what she wants and if myself or others make a suggestion she questions it till it makes sense to her.
And tarafied We are bringing home a king cobra very soon have already looked at it and decided i want it for a follow up project. It is minus the entire front clip, motor and tranny but does have the buck tag and the rest of the parts and was a steal at $200.00
As far as this goes it should be on the rotisserie by Dec. and that is where the real fun begins.

Love build posts!

Glad to see you saving a II. I know most people don't like them, but over the years I've developed a new appreciation for all Stangs.

What has your wife got in mind for the finished project? Fan of the red interior too, hope she keeps that.

Well the red interior is shot and we had a near perfect Black interior so it will be black with grey inserts in the door panels and mach 1 stitched on the headrest.
We are switching to an 8.8 rear with 5 lug and disk brakes. A five lug conversion for the front as well. We are repairing the roof , pass floor pan and driver quarter so stay tuned for those fixes. then the entire engine bay inner and outer floor pan will b coated with KBS coating and we will spray the Factory blue with grey/anthracite Mach 1 striping.
As we speak the motor is at the machinist and will come back with around 400 ponies. Future plans are possibly a 5 speed, bigger brakes and a 8lbs of boost via a super charger.

As of right now it is tucked in a corner while i finish gutting the parts car. It is gutted down to a bare rolling shell, by the end of the month it will be on a rotissere and the photos will pick up a bit. Yesterday i finished getting the dash out and heating hardware on the parts car. Problem has been no time to work on it. But i start a new job on Monday and my weekends will be free again.Figure on new pics in two weeks.

As of now the old Cobra II is no more, It has no roof or cowl and is getting scraped soon.
I have not gotten very far work has me very busy traveling.
Mostly Ohio, Dallas, and Chicago. Gon 5 weeks at a time only home on Sat. So I have not had the time to do anything as of yet. Well not completly true the parts car is done.
So right now it i get our ducks in a row time. I will post up some pics of how bad the Cobra II really was soon. There were parts of the subframe that were not even welded to the fire wall. And just think I let Lori do 100+ mph rips down the road in it. I am glad she did not get hurt. It was truely a mess.
I also had to buy her this to keep her from riding my butt about working on the car lol. I hope it gets her through the coming year.

And she has been out playing in the daughters car.

So i hope she is passified for now.
