76 mustang II block numbers?

76 mustang II block numbers?
I have a 76 mustang II - the engine has been replaced at sometime and I am having trouble getting a distributor because there are 5 ddifferent ones. Where can I find the ID numbers or block numbers or whatever to know which one to order? Any suggestions?
