V8 T-5 swap bellhousing id
Hey All,
Im planning on putting a manual t5 behind my 302. ive seen this bellhousing on ebay but not sure if it is for a mustang II. i cannot find and id chart to reference the casting #s.
my question is, will this bellhousing fit in my mII

That's a 76 part number (D6ZA), so it should fit your MII. I'm not sure of the dimensions as the listing posted Ford Truck as well. Does the seller know what it came out of? Either way, the opening for the transmission will have to be machined to make it larger to accept the T5 and you'll have to have a spacer made for the input shaft bearing that's in the end of your crank, unless you're using a 94-95 T5 which is supposed to have a longer input shaft. Go to www.mustangii.net and look in the Tech Section as there is a very good how to article on installing a T5 using a MII bell housing.

I got a T-5 bell out of a early 90's GT for my project. Read some were that a 164 tooth bell was to big for those chassis, But no problems with the 157's. The T-5 bell will solve all the milling and spacing. Got mine off E-Bay for $125.
