Hello everyone! My dad needs some help on finding a part for his 1978 Mustang II. Currently he is looking for a Steering Box Universal. That's what he calls it. Not sure what it is exactly. Basically, he described the part, he said it is to make the wheels turn (Steer). It connects from the steering wheel to the steering box. However, I've search on-line to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction on where this part can be purchased? Thanks!

Manual or power steering as they are different shaft diminsions? Or, does he need the "Rag Joint'? You can get those in the "Help" section at most parts stores. Try EBay, www.mustangii.net or the Mustang II or Cobra II forums on FaceBook for the steering knuckle. I remember seeing one for sale just recently I think, on one of the FB groups. Hope this helps.

Steering box universal joint.

The steering column comes to the steering box at an angle and the u joint helps it "turn the corner".

Be aware, there are different sizes for different optioned cars.
