Last chance for 06s!
Hey, I'm hoping this is news to someone, if not, I'm sorry.
Apparently, they're not taking any new orders at the factories for 2006 V6s or GTs after tomorrow. They're planning on switching over to the 07s soon, so that's their cutoff. So anyone who wants to ORDER a new 06 rather than buying from stock, is going to have to do it soon!
I don't have any links or anything, this is just what I was told by several people who work at different Ford dealerships about ordering my new V6 (my order went in today). I hope somebody finds this interesting.
Does anyone know if there's going to be a big change between 06 and 07s?

theres going to be a lot more little options on the 07's apparently....but nothing major...like an bigger engine or something.....
like differnt style accents and also like the special editions like the Calfornia Special edition is coming out i hear....then of course...the GT500.....

I'm looking at ordering one, and was told by a dealer that the first build date of the 2007 models is in June 2006.
I was told by the same dealer that orders for 2006's ended on the 5th or 6th.
As for as changes, from what I've seen, they should be minor, but some new options should be available. One change that is standard that I like is the addition of an auxilary audio input jack (no more need for a FM tuner on my iPod). Another change that I saw is the addition of two colors: Grabber Orange Clearcoat Metallic and Alloy Clearcoat Metallic.

I am also told that no mo 06s can be ordered...07s can be ordered beginning in May but the build dates don't start until June 06, so the first 07s should really be rolling off the lines and into the dealers in mid to late June 06. What that means for the California Special model that I "advance ordered" remains to be seen...
