Ok, I was watching the Long Beach Grand Prix and there was Jimmy Vasser hawking a 2007 Mustang Special Edition called the California Special. It looked really coo...I am thinking of ordering a GT and so the thought occurred to me that while I was at it, I could get one of these!

However, going to a Ford dealer and talking to the uninformed salesman who tried to convince me that not only does it not exist, but that manual transmission v-8s are "hard to come by" and that 18" rims are "sold out", I am at a loss. Where if anywhere can I order, reserve, or put a down payment on one of these? Or do I need to wait. Per the bit on tv today, it will be out in summer 07...

I believe that ordering begins in may for all 07 models including the C/S. Most dealers by then should be aware of the new trim option. I also believe that the entire US will be able to order this trim option.

I like the new front facia on the CS.....but those side scoops are tacky. I guess I'm used to looking at those nice Cervini scoops...
