Am I smoking crack or do I recall in earlier stages of the development of the Ford GT they were expecting to price it around $50,000? Now I was looking at the site and they are estimating "under $150,000". If indeed I am not smoking crack why did the price jump so much?

You just read something wrong somewhere. The price has always been expected to be about what it is.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that's the price they have always been estimated around that same price.

You definitely read wrong somewhere. The GT is a supercar, and for $150,000 that is a steal.
