2 dealerships told me that the 5 speed manual 07 mustang GT's are limited production and there are only going to be 1,500 built with a manual?? This sounds like the runaround to me, most seem to have auto premiums on stock and they are trying to sell these so people won't wait for or order a Manual GT? THey are building more SHELBYS if you belive these salesman! LOL!! 1,500 manual mustang GT's??? One dealership used this excuse to get around selling me a car using X plan and I quote "X plan can only be used on automatic GT's" ? Is this for real or what? I would think that the number of Manual 07 mustang GT's would be in the thousands, not 1,500. LOL!!

Yea, definitely BS. They're using the "funnel" routine on you........trying to funnel customers into wanting what they have on their lot instead of going to another dealership or ordering something else from the factory. Try going back and telling them you don't care if its limited.........you want to get a 5 speed manual or you'll be finding another dealership that can get it for you. See if that changes their tune..................I bet it does.

I am not sure where you are located, but here in VA the salesman told me that only 17% of mustang GT's would be stick shift. Now remember I purchased a stick, and i negotiated like crazy and got the car for almost dealer invoice, yes i know about incentives and holdbacks so i know the dealer made money.

Anyway After the sale lets just say the salesman and myself were very honest and up front, he even told me basicaly to not worry about getting the identity system they sell. Anyway I asked him flat out if that was true about the stick shifts, and he said yes, that Ford is trying to make the sticks more collectible.

When you think about it, probaly is true, look at all the lots, mostly auto's, and also think, what better way to get people to buy the shelby's if you are a die hard stick type person!

This is just my two cents.

None of that matters if you order the car specifically with a manual. Most dealers will have more autos simply because marketing research will show what options help move the cars at a higher percentage Ex: automatics with premium sell 15% faster than manuals with premium-that is why a dealership would get more auto's. I AM more inclined however to believe that 17% of GT will be manuals rather than only 1500!!!! 17% would still mean that 1,000's will be manuals. Only 1500 would make a regular manual GT rarer than a cobra or even the Ford GT!!! LOL!!

I do not know how many, but many more than 1500!
Either way I own one (Less than a week)

yeah but are they 2006's or 2007's? Trust me i have heard from just more then dealers about this, there is a buzz going around about it.

i read on Blue Oval forums that only 27% of GT will be manual.
