Alot of rumors out for every 2005 model ford. We all really dont know what to expect yet. It would be awesome to have a 500hp lightning. But i doubt ford will outdue their gt40. If anything the gt40 should have the most hp out of any ford. And do ya'll think 300hp is enough for a 2005 GT? The new mach 1's have 300 and have been known to hit mid to high 13's stock. Lets just hope the 2005 aint heavier then the current mach 1's. I cant wait for the '05s to come out. It seems every company especially imports and euros have been coming out with all these new advancements and domestics are kinda falling behind. I just hope the 05's will be what everyone cuts em out to be.</P>

i definately agree wit you chrisle7220. domestics are falling behind but the only company trying to catch up is ford. thats y ford is so awesome. a new variablevalvetiming is in the works for fords and maybe introduced to the new cobras coming up. with variable valve timing the horsepower output will be incredible. if ford can match honda's i-vetec or toyotas vvtL-i which are by the way making 100hp per litre we would have a 5.0 that makes 500hp, hopefully. in an article i read, ford was going to buy out general motors in the begininng of this year due to the decline of its sports compact and sports cars. but gm stepped up the marketing on its great line of suvs. soon, i believe, ford will be on the top and have unlimited potential. all i gotta say is, "bring on the falcon!" lets see what they have up their sleves.

I read somewhere that the 2004 GT is estimated around 300 hp and the cobra will have about 400hp. I also heard some rumors that a Mach 1 is suppose to be produced and estimated at about 320 hp.

Jenevieve, i say you get back to English class and get your grammer right. All im trying to say is that i want to buy a car thats rare, where as mustangs arent rare.I want to be one of the few that owns it. I know damn well that when the '05 stangs come out, everyone will have one, both GT and v6. Thats why i plan on getting an '03 cobra. Thats all im trying to say.
