Default 2010 Mustang : Made in China?!

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/bizchin...nt_6296588.htm

"Ford Motor Co, which is closing factories in North America, is mulling a new car plant in China with its Japanese unit Mazda Motor Co and local partner Chang'an Motor Corp, to meet growing demand."

Ford's new window stickers may very well turn out to be: "Qualety Made in China" [:@]

i'd never buy another mustang. I don't care if ford is doing it to save money and turn losses into profits. The whole point of buying this "domestic" muscle car is because it is assembled here. Ford is an American Icon, if it goes to china, they will lose my interest

I just scanned the article but where does it say anything about the Mustang being made there?

PS: It's spelled QUALITY.

I wont buy anything from China if I can avoid it. I wonder if all these MNC realize that closing shop here, actually reduces the amount of money people have to spend on products (less jobs) and eventually catches up to them in lower sales? I mean, the Chinese don't buy the **** they sell us..........

Now, the Auto unions here are much to powerful (with no real need to exist) and are mostly to blame if the Big 3 move out.

It doesn't say the Mustang is being made there - but anything can happen, at least that's what I understand from the article.

And yes, it's spelled "quality" ... I was just being sarcastic

There has been factories in Mexico ever since way back when and they actually produced some of the best blocks ..

Whos to say that the factory in China will only produce vehicles for sale in Asia and Europe?

The Mexican blocks you speak of were only "better" because their moulding process wasn't as refined and they had to make the walls thicker to make up for it. Stronger........yes. Better.......I don't know because of the added weight.

They also had higher nickel content and the main webs were thicker.

By moulding process, you must mean casting process.
