Good looks,.. Personally I think it is possible to get a more efficient v8 and I hope these standards make ford rise to the occasion.

Several things here really hard to believe

1. The V6 will continue to have the 4.0.... with 210 HP? Hell, Camry's have 260+ HP now. No way this can be true. The V6 will have the new 3.5 liter and put down 265 HP. Hell, lesser models in the Ford line are already using it.

2. The new V8 will have only 325 HP..... while a turbo V6 will have over 400? No way they are going to make a V8 with 325 HP while Chargers come with 400. And hell, again, even an Infinity G37 is putting down 330. The V8 must do at least 370 HP.

Indeed, sounds like its better to improove the next gen 5.0 and start with that engine as a base for future stangs.

We will be known as the low-litered stangs ! lol

In response to #2: I think that is why Ford would step up to a larger displacement V8 engine (5.0 is mentioned in the article). Ford would not want to cannibalize their GT sales with sales of V6.

There is a history of 44 years associated with the car and the v8 has been along for the entire ride.
Not quite. 1974 was a sad, sad year.

Are you ready for a twin-turbo V-6?

I hope nobody buys the TT V6 so that it goes away.Way too ricer-ish! A mustang without a V8 is like a day without sunshine.
