RE: Any new news on the 2009 Stangs?
its in car and drivers issue this month on the exact details, i got the issue in the mail today there are 3 engines available by 2011
1.) 4.0L V6
2.) 4.6L V8 - same as the gt's of today
3.) 6.2L V8 (potential of over 400hp stock) - it doesnt make it totally clear but it makes it sound like this will be an optional engine in the 2011 GT trim level

i doubt they would bring the Falcon here, but if they do that would be amazing. if they do it prob won't be as good as the australian version. they need to replace the 4.0 with the 3.5, better gas more power. 6.2 is bad idea but i guess their bored and wanna go out with a bang before the V8's start to disappear from production cars.

I'm not super crazy about the wheels, but that's an easy fix.
I would be more convinced if the wheel was already on the other side.
Needs duals but again, that is an easy fix.
The production timeframe for Ford models using the architecture is 2011 or 2012.

^ I want it
Anywho the 6.2 is probablyFord trying to out do the new Camaro (6.0) and Challenger (6.1) At least they are smart enough to keep the 4.6. I hope they bump the power in it a bit though, even to 325. As far as the 3.5 replacing the 4.0, I'd say they are probably going to leave it alone to keep the costs down. 4.0 isn't a bad engine, it's just old school tech is all. Haven't heard any modified 3.5 exhausts, but IMO the 4.0 sounds better for a Mustang due to it being a truck engine.
