Default So no MyColor on the 2009's?

As far as I can tell (no mention of this feature on the now-standard IUP, the general speculation), Ford has eradicated the MyColor feature from the dash of the 2009 Mustang. Is anyone else disappointed by this? I thought this was a pretty cool feature, and it's really the best aspect of the IUP (besides the nifty computer). Anyone know for sure?

[>:]That was like one of their prime selling points. I mean to be honest, I don't change the colour much, but at least you can choose your own colour and stick with it for as long as your feelinstead of being stuck with one colourpermanently.

What I don't understand is that, apparently, this MyColor option is a "major thorn" in Ford's side in terms of cost...News to me (and probably everyone else) seeing as how the IUP TOTAL was only about $460. How can that be a valid excuse with all that added aluminum trim and the computer?

It's come down to me having to scrounge around for a 2008 GT Premium with only a small number of the features I want on one car vs building my own 2009 GT and having it absolutely perfect...except no MyColor. It sucks...

Mycolor is overrated. I haven't changed the color of my dash lights since 2006.

Per the Ford website (www.fordvehicles.com/mustang), if you click on Technology, you'll see that MyColor is standard on the V6 Premium and GT Premium models.

I actually like the Mycolor feature. I'm weird but i like to change as often as i can. That they won't be offering it anymore sucks.

Again, MyColor is STANDARD on the premium models. Ford did NOT eliminate it!

From another part of the Ford website, listing the 2009 Options (in the Comfort and Convenience section):

Premium Interior includes bright polished 6-gauge instrument cluster with MyColor® feature, bright shift **** and satin register vents with satin-aluminum spokes on steering wheel, door latches, door scuff plate. Also includes message center, leather-wrapped steering wheel and Dark Charcoal Aberdeen pattern front door panel inserts

On Ford's "build your own" site, the Premium Interior Package for the 2009 makes no mention of MyColor, which led me to believe that it had been removed. Glad to see some evidence to the contrary. Maybe Ford is downplaying its availability to phase it out of the 2010's...who knows...
