2010 The EcoBoost engine V6

RE: 2010 The EcoBoost engine V6
If Ford makes this turbo 6, the impressiveness of Camaro's 300hp V6 will disappear, quickly. If they priced them between the base V6 and GT, Ford would sell the hell out of them.
A model like this (factory turbo making 335-345hp) would be a cinch to put over 400hp with simple tuning and minor bolt-ons. Hell, I'd bet this car would outdo the new GT in modibility. I'm all for it. I'm tired of all the hoopin and hollerin from the GM guys about how they're gonna be beating up GT's in their V6 Camaros. It's kind of rediculous.

radical new idea here: 400 HP V6..... 500 HP V8..... and a whopping 600 HP SC V8
that should be the new Mustang line up
maybe we'd finally be pushing more hp than Camaro

RE: 2010 The EcoBoost engine V6
Camaros have always had more power than the mustang. And the mustang has always been lighter, and smaller displacement than the camaro. It's a fact of life. Camaros push 4000 pounds, where the mustang is a solid 3500. In the 80's it was 2800lbs and 200hp vs 3100lbs and 230hp.
But that HP/Weight thing always seems to balance out so the camaro and the mustang are well matched. Plus, the mustang is cheaper than the camaro, too.

Interesting quote I found on Autoblog about the V6 Ecoboost:
"Brett Hinds, Ford's advanced engine design manager, said the 3.5L V6 Ecoboost slated for F-150 duty in 2010 would produce significantly more than 340 hp and 340 lb-ft..."
